Create Your Reality: Vision Boards

Imagine you could have everything you’ve ever dreamed about, from that dream job, that luxury car, a healthy, toned body, or that killer vacation in Maui. What about just peace of mind? No, you don’t have to win the lottery or sign up for some kind of crazy reality show. As a matter of fact, all you need is a vision…and some magazines, scissors, and push pins. Hear me out…

The magical, dream-achieving device I’m referring to here is what’s known as a “vision board”. Which is, in short, a cork board (or paper, or wall, or whatever you’d like to use) on which you stick images and representations of different things you’d really love to have or achieve. You might be saying, alright, but how the heck is a piece of paper going to make all my dreams come true? Well, it’s not, strictly speaking. You are. You are the one with the power to grant your own wishes! The vision board is just a tool to make it happen by providing you with a real, tangible “map” to the life YOU want to be living. Visualization (à la The Secret) is the […]

Juicing

The wonders of juicing have been talked about by doctors and health nutritionists for decades and we are always hearing about amazing weight loss success stories with some lean, green, fat-burning machine.  But what does it really entail and why does it seem like an impossible feat to be able to really enjoy a mystery green drink made out of beet leaves and kale?

Obviously we all know that fruits and veggies are a critical part of our daily diet, but what does juicing do… It gives all of us that peel off the skins and boil to oblivion the nutrients out of the fruits and veggies that we eat.  By consuming complete, raw produce we get the most out of those vital minerals and vitamins that each fruit and veggie is known for.

So that mighty, green drink may not be the place to start for beginning juicers, but testing out how to use your juicer, use fruits that you know you like and then work your way to the healthier leafy greens and earthy vegetables.

Try a Carrot, Pineapple, Orange Juice, it’s sweet and will have a familiar test to […]

Commit To Be Fit

Have you have been thinking about getting in shape and being more healthy but just don’t have the motivation or time? Or, be honest, have you not thought about it at all? In either case, you should be and there is never a bad time to start living healthy. In fact it is always the right time. And it just takes a little motivation and commitment to get you on your way and into a new healthy and fit lifestyle. You have the power to improve how you feel physically and mentally, your overall health and let’s face it what we all want, how we look.

It is probably a good idea to go to your doctor before you start working out. You need to know how healthy or unhealthy you really are and what your body can handle. Once you are ready to start exercising, think about what you want to accomplish. Do you want to loose 10, 20, 30 pounds? Do you want to be more toned? How much time can you reasonably dedicate everyday? This one might be the most important. Don’t set yourself […]

Lexi Blog ~ vegetarianism

As many of you may know the ratio of carnivores vs. herbivores in the world today is extreme. Majority of the world’s population chooses to be meat eaters for any number of diverse reasons.  Whether it has to do with loving the taste of meat, being raised without exposure to any other option, thinking vegetarianism is an inconvenience, or maybe they’ve tried the path of vegetarianism before and couldn’t help but resist and go back to their meat eating habits.

I became a vegetarian June of 2010 and I can personally say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.  It was life changing! I couldn’t help but notice the incredible difference I felt about myself inside and out. My skin started to clear up, I had more energy less stomach aches, and every time I sat down to eat I had an instant reminder of the positive and healthy eating choices I was making now and would be making throughout my future.

Not realizing it in the moment, but vegetarianism took my bad eating habits, whether it had […]

Gemstones & Healing

As you may or may not know I am a huge believer in the power of Gemstones. I use them all over my home, I’m even incorporating them into my new line of home accessories. I also wear them whenever possible. To me the most important part of using them is the intention, the intention of the person who creates them or the person who is gifting them is just as important of the gem itself. Some hints below are from one of my favorite designers using gem stones along with the power of GOOD intentions.

Many people don’t know this, but gemstones also have another purpose, other than their beauty. Gemstones have been used for centuries throughout all cultures, religions, and empires for their natural healing properties. The reason that gems were so precious was due to the power they imparted to the wearers. To be clear, gemstones are not meant to replace anyone’s spiritual beliefs. This is a common misconception. Gemstones have holistic qualities in them, which comes from natural energy of the Earth. They are one of the most mystical, beautiful, and profound energy medicine tools.

RETAIL THERAPY

We all crave it every once in a while. Yes, the economy has been tough and we are all not able to spend a fortune on a whim. But, that does not have to stop you from boosting your mood every once in a while with something unexpected. For me, something so mundane as going to grocery store can become an escape and a special treat. Samples… What girly girly does not playing with samples? A nice smelling lotion or a cream that claims to firm and tone our skin. I’ll take three Sister! My recent unexpected splurge was at a gourmet market. My girlfriend and I spent 30 minutes losing ourselves in a portion of the store that I would call the “Apothecary Section”. The truth be known, it was a small area of the store with all natural ingredients. I took away a small bottle of RosemaryToning Oil made by Dr. Hauschka. I loved the smell and how it felt on my skin and who the hell doesn’t need help with toning? The next aisle was not as exciting, but the real reason I was there… My […]

Feeling Good

Feeling good is the foundation for having a happy life. This blog will provide insights on how to “feel good” regularly in your daily life.

Today, we’ll take a look at something really basic. The simple concept of literally ‘feeling good’.  I believe that it requires a combination of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being.  Despite the craziness of daily life, it’s important to do all we can to simply feel good, be happy and joyful.  I like to start my day with 5 or 10 minutes of “quiet”.  I sit in a quiet space and think about all that I am grateful for; my family, my friends, the talented staff I spend so much time with, the blessing of good health and the spiritual connection and faith that I have in the ‘divine’. My personal spiritual support team (my guides) that protect and inspire me every day of my life.  This works for me.

Gratitude is a powerful emotion.  And based on the laws of attraction, if you think about all that you’re grateful it puts forth a positive energy that physcially affects you’re mood.  Where there is  love, […]
